Iron and manganese removal systems are used for treatment of drinking

Iron and manganese removal systems are often used for treatment of drinking and technical water in areas with high iron and manganese concentrations. Treatment method includes the aeration of soluble metals to oxidize them to their insoluble form, after which they can be easily removed by filtration or adsorption.

Working Principle:
Iron and Manganese Removal Unit utilizes the oxidation method to oxidize the low valence iron ion and manganese ion to high valence ions which will be removed by absorption and filtration so as to achieve the purpose of to reduce iron and manganese content in water.
Features:
1Aerator part do not need addition of chemical and activator, only need to add a small quantity of air which
can reduce operation cost.
2 The main body of equipment combines strong oxidation reaction, separation method sand remover,
grouping suspended pound into one unit. The materials fall into two categories: carbon steel and stainless
steel.
3The filter part equipped with self-back flush unit, do not need back flush pump, which can lessen floor space,
and reduce cost.
4Pressure-type filtration has higher back flash intensity which can have the filter layer washed evenly, clearly,
lower back-flash time and longer filtrating period, and extend the filter-media service time.
5The equipment can supply water to end-user or water supply pipeline directly, do not need clean water tank
and secondary pump station, which can reduce investment and avoid secondary pollution.

The equipment mainly is applied in high content of iron and manganese water area, in order to use the ground water as water source.
